Mr. Haynes began his career in 1983 in the Financial Services Industry in New York. Mr. Haynes held Series 7 and Series 63 Securities & Exchange Commission licenses. In 1988 Mr. Haynes moved to Dallas, Tx and foundedSouthampton Capital Partners, a venture capital firm. Southampton funded a wide range of start-ups revolving around proprietary intellectual property, and innovative business concepts.
Mr. Haynes sold his stake in the firm in 2001. After his exit he pursued his personal investment interests full time through his family office. His investments at the time were weighted toward casinos and gaming technology. He has been licensed in the gaming industry with over 25 Native American Tribal casinos, and has been licensed by the West Virginia Lottery Commission, the Mississippi Gaming Commission and the Illinois Gaming Commission.
In the mid 2010’s Mr. Haynes who is still active in gaming and real estate development began investing in Agricultural and Bio-tech sciences. His investments started with sawmills in the beetle ravaged, Rocky Mountain region and evolved into all-natural pesticides and Hemp related science.
In 2017 he initiated investments into inhaled medical compounds specifically inhaled compounds of CBD, and THC. These investments lead to his entry into clinical research in the burgeoning hemp and CBD industry. His early investments in the field lead to his involvement with the University of Augusta. Mr. Haynes is joined by his long-term team of professionals, who have expertise in accounting, administration, operations and compliance across may fields.
Mr. Haynes lives in Dallas with his wife. He is a Wake Forest University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Mr. Haynes has participated in several post graduate management programs for entrepreneurs. He has served on the board of directors of numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations.
